Andres Torres and his family own the farm Santa Teresa in the village of Campo Redondo in Luya, Amazonas. Don Andres bought the land, which at the time was 12 hectares, in 2010 and since then has been planting it with coffee. The first plantings on the farm were of mixed, local varieties such as caturra, pache and catimor, but in 2015 Andres received seeds of Geisha from the cooperative that he was a member of at the time, that had imported them directly from Panama. Andres was initially quite sceptical of the new variety, since coffee leaf rust is a big problem in the area he was reluctant to rely on a variety which has little resistance to CLR. However, after seeing that the plants adapted well and appeared to be very vigorous he was optimistic about the first harvest.

In 2018 Andres harvested geisha for the first time and the results were brilliant, leading him to plant 5ha more geisha over the following two years. His original 12 hectares are now divided between himself and each of his sons who all inherited a piece of the farm, which they manage as one. In recent years Andres has mostly produced natural coffee, since the climate in Campo Redondo during the harvest season is very dry and favourable for natural production. This lot was fermented for 48 hours in barrels with an airlock valve before being spread onto raised beds in a parabolic dryer where they dried for around 25 days. Once dry the coffee is bagged up in grainpro bags and rested for 15 days before being cupped.
